As our Financial Counselor, you wouldconduct personal interviews with uninsured/under-insured patients and provide a Flat Rate Package or Hospital Charity Program specifics based on patient type and processes. To do this, you mustpromoteTrust and be Trustworthywhen you obtain and verify the following:

Patient Demographic Information

Patient Financial Information

Patient Medical Information

As a patient advocate, you are expected to explain the options the patient may be eligible to receive. Being Genuinewith your intentions and actions, while ensuring you are educating patients on what information they need to provide will significantly improve your success in this position!

You will maintain the progression of patient accounts to properly code, close and suspend accounts. Reviewing account details to ensure procedures have been followed for transmittal, closure, and payment is expected. Comprehensive training will be provided to establish yourself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with these procedures.

You will be part of a larger HCFS team focused on patient advocacy and hospital profitability!Establishing strong professional relationshipswith our hospital contacts and your HCFS team is imperative. Your individual success, as well as the profitability of the hospital and HCFS, relies on your efforts toProvide a Collaborative Environment and Promoting Teamwork and Unity.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience is required
  • Consistent punctuality and attendance is required


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
